Risotto with ginger

Ginger risotto recipe of 08-05-2019

The risotto with ginger it is a very particular first course and probably not suitable for everyone, but I guarantee you that if you are a ginger lover like me you must definitely try it! Your dish will have a marked spicy, almost pungent note and will be very fragrant. The fresh and spicy taste at the same time marries divinely in contrast to the creaminess of the risotto for a truly unparalleled combination ... In short, I loved it, now you have to let me know what you think of this ginger and lemon risotto;)
PS: if you prefer to sweeten the spiciness of the ginger a little, try replacing the oil with butter and add it to the parmesan in the creaming phase;)

How to make ginger risotto

Peel and grate the ginger.
Peel the lemon as well, being careful not to remove the white part, and cut the peel into julienne strips.

Finely chop the onion and brown it in a saucepan with the oil.
Add the rice and toast it, then add half the ginger and half the lemon peel.
Add the wine, then start normal cooking with the hot broth, adding more as it is absorbed.

When cooked, add the remaining ginger and lemon, then stir in the cheese.

The ginger risotto is ready, plate up and serve immediately.

Risotto with carrots, ginger and clams

Risotto with carrots, ginger and clams is a delicious first course with an incredibly delicate taste and a very refined presentation. Simple to prepare, this original carrot risotto is a recipe suitable for all seasons and a new and original solution for a fish-based dinner. Risotto with carrots, ginger and clams is one of the 5 recipes chosen from all those that participated in the contest of the GialloZafferano Forum "Venice in the plate", which invited our users to create recipes that contained typical Venetian ingredients, in this case carrots from Chioggia and clams. The risotto with carrots, ginger and clams was then cooked in Vinitaly. It is a recipe by Emanuela Bernardi.

Peel the ginger, then grate it.

Also peel the lemon, taking care to remove the white part, and cut the peel into julienne strips.

Peel the onion and chop half of it finely.

Brown it in two tablespoons of oil in a pan, add the rice and toast it for a couple of minutes.

Deglaze the rice with the white wine, let it evaporate for another couple of minutes and add the broth, cooking the risotto normally.

When cooked, add the ginger and lemon, mix and add the grated Parmesan cheese.

Cooking shrimp

1) Peel and mash the garlic, peel the ginger and cut it into julienne strips, then clean the prawns by removing the carapace and intestinal thread.

2) Pour 4 tablespoons of oil into a pan, fry the garlic and ginger together with the prawns, cooking them for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, drain and set aside the cooking juices.

3) Remove the garlic and add the diced pineapple, then let it brown for 3-4 minutes.

4) Add the rice and a pinch of chillies, cook everything for a few more minutes, then add the prawns and coriander.

Risotto with ginger

1) To prepare the risotto with ginger first toast 300 g of rice in a sauce prepared with a leek chopped and 20 g of butter.

2) Deglaze the rice with 2 dl of blonde beer and cook for 18 minutes, gradually adding 7.5 dl of beef broth hot (or, if you follow a vegetarian diet, even an equal amount of vegetable broth).

3) When cooked, add 20 g of butter, 30 g of grain grated and 1/2 teaspoon of powdered ginger. Serve the ginger risotto, to taste, with fried leek rings.

You can prepare the risotto with ginger also in purity: using the fresh root to flavor rice, without leek, broth, or beer.

In this case, brown 300 g of rice in 20 g of butter, add 2.5 cm in ginger root peeled and finely chopped and cook, pouring a little at a time water boiling salted and stirring occasionally. When the rice is al dente, turn off the heat, season with salt and pepper, stir in 70 g of grain grated and leave to stir for a minute with the lid on before serving. The extra flavor? Garnish the ginger risotto with one Lemon peel untreated finely cut.

Cicci you know I trust you .. but fresh ginger just can not please me .. With the powder is already better. But .. very good .. I know that there are those who will appreciate it very much! :-D smackkkk

I've never tasted it, ginger risotto. And I have always let myself be conquered by the ginger root after having always used the powdered one. And yet I feel fascinated by this dish. In short, two of us have discovered hot water and I'm proud of it, ahahahahahahahah !!
A big big kiss Cristina, see you soon.

This I have to do to my mom! She's not crazy about risotto but I love ginger, let's see if we can get her to eat it! ... otherwise I'll take care of it, without problems D

* for the risotto but she loves ginger -_-

Here I have never tried and thought about risotto with ginger. Adriano as usual says he doesn't like it :( but what the hell of a man. In my opinion it gives that very special spicy and aromatic touch. :)

Ah men. A desperation! Then if you hide the ingredient in some dish without saying anything, they fall into it like cooked apples) It is really special, but joking aside, it must like it because it has a spicy and citrus note that not everyone likes. I'm crazy about it.

It is very good. I would be very happy if you passed by my blog: I am waiting for you ^ _ ^

It seemed to me we had already met. maybe I'm wrong.

Cook the ginger risotto

Now switch to cooking the ginger risotto. Separately, toast three hundred and twenty grams of rice in a non-stick frying pan without fat. Let it cook for three minutes, stirring constantly. Now raise the heat under the pot, add the toasted rice, two teaspoons of ginger and mix everything. The latter will serve to begin to give it flavor. Then blend the risotto with the warm white wine. Pour two ladles of boiling broth and continue cooking, wetting it again until it evaporates. Remember to turn the risotto with each addition, thus preventing it from sticking to the pot. Cook the ginger risotto for sixteen minutes.

How to prepare ginger risotto

Peel the ginger root and grate it into a bowl. Wash a lemon well and cut the zest into julienne strips.

Finely chop half an onion and sauté it in a non-stick pan with a drizzle of oil. Add the rice and toast it for a few minutes. Add half the ginger and half the lemon. Deglaze everything with a glass of white wine.

Meanwhile, heat a saucepan of water and add the vegetable cube. When the wine has evaporated from the rice, start adding ladles of hot broth a little at a time. Let it absorb and continue cooking over medium heat.

At the end sprinkle with the remaining ginger and lemon and serve hot.

Risotto with ginger

For the ginger risotto recipe, toast the rice in a sautéed oil and chopped shallot, blend it with a finger of Traminer, add salt and cook it with about 3/4 liter of broth combined a little at a time (it will take 17- 18 & # 8242).

Meanwhile, sauté the leek into slices in a veil of oil, then add the diced trout fillets, add salt and let them flavor.

As soon as the rice is ready, add the trout, a teaspoon of grated ginger, a drizzle of oil and ground pepper. Serve it with slices of ginger.
